
Yash Jaiswal, an Indian cricket player who represents his country, was born on December 28, 2001. In July 2023, he made his debut for his country against the West Indies in the opening Test match, where he scored a century in his opening innings.[3] He is a member of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai. He became the youngest cricket player to record a double century in List A cricket in 2019[4], and he led India’s under-19 team in runs scored during the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World

Early life
On December 28, 2001, in Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, Jaiswal was born as the fourth of six children[2] to Bhupendra Jaiswal, a hardware store owner, and Kanchan Jaiswal, a homemaker. He relocated to Mumbai when he was ten years old in order to train at Azad Maidan for cricket. He was first allowed to live in a dairy shop in exchange for his labor, but the owner had him removed because he could not come in on a regular basis. Consequentlyly, he made ends meet by selling panipuri while living in a tent at the Maidan with the groundskeepers[6].[7]
Three years of living in tents later, Jaiswal’s talent for cricket was discovered in December 2013 by Santacruz-based cricket coach Jwala Singh. He gave Jaisawal
Career
Youth career
Jaiswal first came to prominence in 2015 when he scored 319 not out and took 13/99 in a Giles Shield match, an all-round record in schools cricket in India.[9][10] He was selected for the Mumbai under-16 squad and later the India national under-19 cricket team.[9] Jaiswal was the highest run-scorer (318 runs) and player of the tournament at the 2018 Under-19 Asia Cup which India won.[11][12]
In 2019, Jaiswal scored 173 from 220 balls in a Youth Test match against South Africa under-19s.[13] Later that year, he scored 294 runs in seven matches, including four half-centuries, in the under-19 tri-series in England.[14] In December 2019, he was named in India’s squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[15] Jaiswal was the leading run scorer in the tournament, including scoring a century against Pakistan under-19s in the semi-final.[16]
International career
Jaiswal was called up for the first time to the Indian Test cricket team in June 2023 for the West Indies series.[28] In the opening Test of the series, he made his debut, amassing a century and opening the batting with 171 runs. He was named Player of the Match for his contributions to their victory.[29] In August 2023, he made his T20I debut against the West Indies in the third game of the T20I series.[30] He and Shubman Gill shared an opening partnership of 165 runs in the fourth match of the series, during which he hit his first T20I half-century (84* off 51 balls).[31][32]
